Reverse Text

Reverse text without corrupting it. Almost every online reverser splits raw code units — which turns 🇮🇳 into a different country's flag, shatters emoji into mojibake, and drops accents onto the wrong letter. This one reverses real characters, so emoji, flags, accents and Devanagari survive. Reverse characters, words, lines, sentences or per-line, make uʍop-ǝpᴉsdn text, and use a genuine palindrome checker — live, private, in your browser.

Reverse Text

Emoji-safe reversing, words & lines, upside-down text and a real palindrome checker.

Reverse Text — Without Corrupting It

Need to reverse a string for a coding exercise? Flip the order of lines in a log file? Make mirror or upside-down text for a design? Check whether a phrase is a palindrome? This tool flips your content eight different ways — live as you type.

More importantly, it does it correctly. Nearly every online reverser runs split('').reverse(), which chops text into raw UTF-16 code units instead of real characters. The result: the flag 🇮🇳 comes back as a different country's flag, emoji turn into mojibake, family emoji like 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 shatter into separate people, and café becomes ́efac with the accent stranded on nothing. This engine reverses grapheme clusters — what a human calls a character — so emoji, flags, accents, Hindi and Arabic all survive intact. No signup, no cost.

How to Reverse Text

1. Type or Paste

Enter text, import a .txt file, or hit Sample. It reverses live — no button needed, nothing uploaded.

2. Choose a Mode

Characters, words, lines, sentences, per-line variants, characters-inside-words, or upside-down flip text.

3. Check Palindromes

The checker updates as you type, ignoring case, spaces and punctuation by default — and shows the first mismatch when it isn't one.

4. Copy or Download

Copy the result, download it as .txt, or feed it back as input to chain modes. Undo restores your previous text.

Multiple Reversal Modes

Genuinely Unicode-Safe

Reverses real characters, not code units. Emoji, ZWJ sequences (👨‍👩‍👧‍👦), skin tones, flags, combining accents and Devanagari clusters all come back intact — and reversing twice returns your exact original text.

Characters & Words

"Hello World" → "dlroW olleH", or flip word order to "World Hello". Reversing words keeps every space and line break exactly where it was, instead of flattening your text.

Lines & Sentences

Make the last line first — ideal for log files, lists and CSV data — or reverse sentence order. Per-line variants reverse characters or words within each line separately.

Real Palindrome Checker

Instantly tells you if your text reads the same backwards. "A man, a plan, a canal: Panama" and "No 'x' in Nixon" pass; toggle case, punctuation and accent handling, and see the first mismatching character when it fails.

Upside-Down Text

Turn "hello" into "ollǝɥ" using real Unicode characters — paste it into chats, bios and captions anywhere that accepts plain text.

Private and Free

Live preview with character, word and line counts, copy, download, import, use-as-input and undo. Runs in your browser — no signup needed.

Reverse Text — FAQs

Because they use split('').reverse().join(''), which splits text into UTF-16 code units rather than characters. That reverses the two halves of an emoji into mojibake, converts the flag 🇮🇳 into a different country's flag, breaks 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 into separate people, and moves a combining accent onto the wrong letter so "café" becomes "́efac". This tool reverses grapheme clusters, so reversing twice gives you back your exact original text.

Eight: Characters (hello → olleh), Words (hello world → world hello), Lines (last line first), Sentences, Characters per line, Words per line, Characters inside each word while keeping word order (hello world → olleh dlrow), and Upside-down flip text (hello → ollǝɥ).

It normalizes your text and compares it with its reverse, live as you type. By default it ignores case, spaces and punctuation — the classic convention — so "A man, a plan, a canal: Panama" and "Was it a car or a cat I saw?" are correctly identified. You can turn each option off, add accent-insensitivity for phrases like "Ésope reste ici et se repose", and when the text isn't a palindrome it shows the first mismatching character. It's grapheme-aware, so Hindi (नमन) and emoji palindromes work too.

Yes. The words are mapped back onto your original whitespace skeleton, so line breaks and indentation stay exactly where they were. Tools that split on whitespace and rejoin with single spaces destroy your line structure and collapse your spacing. There's also a "Words per line" mode that reverses each line independently.

Completely free — no signup needed. All reversing happens in your browser as you type; nothing is sent to a server. You can copy the result, download it as a .txt file, use it as new input to chain modes, or undo at any time.
