Retirement Calculator — Plan How Much You Need to Retire Comfortably

Will your savings last through retirement? Or will you outlive your money? Most Indians underestimate how much they need at 60 because they don't account for inflation, longer life expectancy, and rising healthcare costs. Our Retirement Calculator gives you a clear answer: the exact corpus you need at retirement and how much to invest each month to get there.

Enter your current age, retirement age, monthly expenses, inflation, the returns you expect before and after retirement, and your life expectancy. See your target retirement corpus, the monthly saving needed, and your expenses at retirement. No signup, no cost.

How to Plan Your Retirement

1. Current and Retirement Age

Enter your age now and the age at which you plan to retire (typically 58-60).

2. Monthly Expenses

Enter your current monthly expenses. Inflation will be applied to project future cost.

3. Returns and Inflation

Set the return you expect before retirement, the return after retirement and inflation — the calculator starts at 10%, 7% and 6%. These are assumptions, not guarantees.

4. View Plan

See the target corpus, the monthly saving needed to reach it, and your monthly and yearly expenses at retirement.

Retirement Calculator — FAQs

A common rule of thumb is 30 times your annual expenses at retirement. If your monthly expense will be ₹1 lakh at age 60, that means a corpus of ₹3.6 crore (₹12 lakh × 30). This calculator works it out from your own life expectancy, returns and inflation instead.

As early as your first salary — compounding rewards early starters disproportionately. Investing ₹10,000 a month at an assumed 12% builds about ₹6.5 crore by 60 if you start at 25, but about ₹1.9 crore if you start at 35: over three times as much for ₹12 lakh more invested (figures from our SIP Calculator).
