Image Resizer

Resize JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP and AVIF in your browser — nothing is uploaded. Resize to exact pixels, fit inside a box, scale by percentage, or use social presets. When the shape doesn't match you choose Crop, Fit-with-padding or Stretch — so photos are never squashed by accident. High-quality stepped downscaling keeps results crisp, photo orientation is fixed automatically, transparency is safe, and you can embed a print DPI. Batch-resize to a real ZIP, with a before/after slider.

Image Resizer

Exact size, fit or crop — no distortion, high quality, private in your browser.

Image Resizer — Exact Dimensions, No Distortion

Passport applications need 35×45 mm. LinkedIn covers are 1584×396. Instagram posts are 1080×1080. YouTube thumbnails are 1280×720. Every platform demands a different size — and most online resizers happily squash your photo to fit. This Image Resizer doesn't: you choose exactly how a mismatched shape is handled, so faces and products are never stretched.

Resize to exact pixels, fit inside a box, scale by percentage, or pick a social/passport preset. When the target shape differs from your image, choose Crop to fill (trims the overflow, no distortion), Fit with padding (shows the whole image), or Stretch (only if you really want it). Downscaling is done in high-quality steps so results stay crisp, photo orientation is corrected automatically, transparency is kept safe, and you can embed a print DPI. Everything runs in your browser — no uploads. No signup, no watermark, no cost.

How to Resize an Image

1. Upload Images

Drop JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP or AVIF — single or batch. Each image's current dimensions are detected automatically.

2. Choose a Mode

Exact size (with aspect-ratio link), Fit within a box, Scale by percentage, or a preset. Optionally set output format, quality, print DPI and padding colour.

3. Pick Crop / Fit / Stretch

When the shape doesn't match, decide how it's handled — crop, pad or stretch — so your image is never distorted by accident. A before/after slider shows the result.

4. Download

Save individually or all at once as a real ZIP. Adjust settings and re-resize without re-uploading.

Image Resizer Features

Crop, Fit or Stretch

Resize to an exact size without squashing: Crop to fill trims the overflow, Fit with padding keeps the whole image, Stretch is there only if you deliberately choose it.

High-Quality Scaling

Large reductions are done in steps with high-quality smoothing, so edges and text stay crisp instead of muddy or jagged. By default images are never enlarged past 100%.

Modes & Presets

Exact pixels, Fit-within a bounding box, or Scale by percentage — plus presets for Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, passport and common resolutions.

Print DPI Embedding

Set 300 DPI for print or 72 for web and the resolution is written into the file (PNG pHYs / JPEG JFIF density), so it prints at the correct physical size.

Batch + Real ZIP

Resize many images with the same settings and download them together as a genuine ZIP archive — not one-by-one. Great for product catalogues.

Free and Private

All processing in your browser — no uploads, no signup, no watermark. Transparency is preserved (or filled with a colour you pick), never turned into black boxes.

Image Resizer — FAQs

Keep the aspect-ratio link on (width and height stay proportional), or use Fit within mode. For an exact size of a different shape, pick Crop to fill (fills the size and trims the overflow — no distortion) or Fit with padding (shows the whole image with a border). Stretch is available too, but you have to choose it on purpose.

Downscaling here preserves quality well because it is done in steps with high-quality smoothing, keeping the result crisp. Enlarging past the original always loses sharpness — so upscaling is off by default (you can enable it). Always start from the largest source you have.

Yes. Use a passport preset (for example 413×531 px, which is 35×45 mm at 300 DPI) or enter exact pixels, then set the Print DPI field to 300. The DPI is embedded in the file so it prints at the right physical size. Check your specific authority's exact pixel and background requirements.

Transparency is preserved in PNG/WebP output; when padding or converting to JPG, the empty areas use a colour you pick (white by default), never black. Photos are auto-rotated from their EXIF orientation, so a picture taken sideways on a phone comes out upright.

Completely free — no signup, no watermark. All resizing runs in your browser; images never leave your device. You can resize many at once and download them together as a real ZIP.
